IBPW is a non-profit support network that promotes education, leadership and self-development through seminars and workshops.

Who We Are

Indian Business & Professional Women (IBPW) was founded in 1994 primarily as a support network, and to provide a forum through which members could identify and address issues of mutual concern. In order to encourage and simulate business and professional potential among women, IBPW continues to have some noteworthy personalities as guest speakers at its seminars & workshops, and has showcased several member-owned businesses.

  • Anu has served on several Boards as a Director as well as an advisory Board member

Dr. Anjali Gulati: MD. Cardiologist, Good Samaritan Hospital

  • Dr. Anjali Gulati specializes in cardiovascular medicine, including invasive cardiology at Good Samaritan Hospital

  • She believes in the importance of taking time to explain medical issues in detail and answer patients’ questions so they can become active participants in their own care. She assesses each patient’s overall health and focuses on cardiovascular problems so she can develop a specialized treatment plan

Dr. Noor Sachdev: MD. Neurologist/Vice Chairman-Neurosciences Dept, GSH

  • Dr. Noor Sachdev is a neurologist in San Jose, California

  • Dr. Noor received his medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Michele Dauber: Faculty-Stanford Law School

  • A law professor and a sociologist, Michele Dauber has written highly original historical and sociological studies focusing on the history of social provision and the US welfare state

  • Her first book, The Sympathetic State (2013 University of Chicago Press) received numerous distinguished book awards and prizes

  • Professor Dauber has received numerous grants for her research including from the National Endowment for the Humanities, including 2006 Walter J. Gores Award, Stanford University’s highest teaching honor
